A versatile filmmaker with a penchant for bold visual storytelling, Kirsten Tan is a New York-based Singaporean filmmaker whose debut feature Pop Aye premiered as the Opening Night film of Sundance Film Festival 2017. The film went on to receive a Special Jury Prize for Screenwriting at Sundance, the Big Screen Award at Rotterdam and the Best International Film Award at Zurich Film Festival. To date, it has screened at over 50 film festivals and was theatrically-released worldwide. Pop Aye was invited to represent Singapore in the Foreign Film Category at the Oscars.
Prior to completing Pop Aye, she made a series of short films that have collectively received over ten international awards. Commercially, she has directed content for brands including Giorgio Armani, TEDTalks, Raffles Hotel (Singapore) and Credit-Suisse. Ella, a fashion film she directed for Giorgio Armani, received an AICP show honor in 2014 and has been included as a part of the archives of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in NYC.
Kirsten has been featured on CNN International’s flagship program, Ones to Watch, which is globally broadcast to “shine a spotlight on up-and-coming creative talents set to be the next big names in culture and the arts.” A Sundance Institute and Cinereach Film Fellow, she earned her MFA at NYU Graduate Film School where she received the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts Fellowship.

John-Michael has a unique style that blends art-house cinema with glossy commercial undertones to create an exciting and cinematic experience. He’s directed work for Coach + Vogue Japan, David Yurman, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, The Frye Company, Atlantico Rum, Nike, Carrera Eye Wear and John Frieda. He’s currently in post-production on a dramatic film, DANCE. John-Michael hails from the Blue Ridge mountains in central Virginia. He graduated from James Madison University with dual degrees in International Business (BBA) and Media Arts & Design (BS), and has studied experimental film under renowned filmmaker Kevin Everson at the University of Virginia.

From creating the first fully mobile bullet time camera rig with 50 Nokias to choreographing an aerial smoke shows using drones, Paul’s constant pursuit to develop and play with new techniques has led to a strikingly fresh body of work. His varied interest in technology, comedy, and design permeates throughout. Many of these experiments have been selected as Vimeo Staff Picks and has been featured in a variety of outlets from Creator’s Project to Scientific American. Trillo has been listed as one of 2015’s D&AD’s Next Directors and won “The One Show’s One To Watch” and “30 Under 30 Film Festival’s Director to Watch” awards.

Director Amit Gupta has worked in the U.S., Europe, South Africa, India, East Asia, and the Middle East shooting commercials, music videos, and films. Known for his strong visuals, beautiful imagery and knowledge of VFX – Amit has the ability to bring the best out of creative ideas in various formats. His commercial work has earned him the Mosaic Award from the American Advertising Federation, a Telly Award, and has screened at Cannes, GoaFest and Spikes. His film The Guardian’s Gateway has screened at the Kids First! Film Festival, the largest festival for children and family films in the world. Amit holds an MFA in Film and Television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California and a Bachelor’s from University of Texas at Austin. He has worked with Nike, Tropicana, SC Johnson, Samsung, Honda, Canon, Google, State Farm, Showtime Networks, and ABC amongst others. Alongside his future aspirations in the profession he loves, he also anticipates the day he will acquire a jetpack, and own and operate his very own micro-brewery.

His projects include a Fiat campaign starring Emma Roberts and a life-sized, trash-talking smartphone, 2016 NBA Finals / Samsung “Full Circle” and “VIP Courtside” with setup and broadcast of 360 streams of warm-ups from the game as well as exclusive courtside seating experience where viewers were immersed as if they were sitting on the bench with players, and the Beatles “Love” Experience / Cirque du Soleil, placing the viewer on stage at one of Vegas’ premiere entertainment show. The AXE “Apollo” campaign won Cannes Gold and Silver Lions. Like some of the very best storytellers, JUNO award winning director, Mike Roberts found his calling as a kid when his raconteur Irish born father told him complicated, textured and dream-inducing bedtime stories. Originally from Toronto – by way of New York and London, he now calls LA his home. Currently writing, directing and producing on Comedy Central’s Triptank, he also created the title sequence for Bojack Horseman as well as directing episodes of season 2. His short film “Rumbleseat” for The Sadies won him a JUNO award for best music video. His film credits include Tales of the Rat Fink, and Know Your Mushrooms as well as creating commercial animation for clients like Honda, Ford, Fandango and Kellogg’s, as well as film and television animation for ABC Disney, HBO Documentary Films, and Decode Entertainment. Mike and his actress wife Bree Williamson (One Life to Live, Deception, True Detective and Haven) have a little boy who they now carry the bedtime story tradition with.
